Tatum O’Neal

Tatum O’Neal has been arrested for attempting to buy cocaine and crack near her Manhattan home.  The Academy Award-winning former child star has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.   O’Neal, 44, was also in possession of a crack pipe.  She was arrested at 7:30 p.m. by detectives from Manhattan South Narcotics on Clinton Street between East Broadway and Grant Street.

Tatum O’Neal, the daughter of Ryan O’Neal, won an Oscar for her role in the film Paper Moon at the age of ten.  That made her the youngest-ever Oscar winner.  However, Tatum has had a serious battle with drugs and alcohol throughout her adult life.  Sources say that when police approached O’Neal, she quickly asked them, “you know who I am, right?”  She then further stated, “I’m researching a part - I’m doing this for a part.”

Apparently, Tatum has been clean for two years, and she has just recently relapsed.  She reportedly asked the detectives, “Can’t we just forget about this?”   I guess she isn’t that great of an actress anymore!!  They cuffed her and booked her!

Why does she need to do research?  That was her life for so many years!!  Can’t she just recall from memory?  Bullshit Tatum…and damn…she has children!
