The new Batman movie, The Dark Knight, has been making a shit ton of money!  Most people are really praising the work Heath Ledger did in that movie.  I have not seen the movie yet, but I will this weekend!  I can’t wait!  It seems as though this movie has really turned into almost a tribute for the late Heath Ledger.  In fact, there is serious talk of Heath getting an Oscar for his role in the movie.  Heath’s co-star, Maggie Gyllenhaal, really believes he should be given an award for this role.

“Degree of difficulty be incorporated into the award.”

Maggie also said:

“To be that incredible in a movie that’s this huge, that’s about so many things, is really an accomplishment,” she said. “In a way I feel funny thinking about the Oscars when he isn’t alive, but at the same time I’m a member of the Academy and I would vote for him.”

Regarding Heath’s performance, she said:

“In order to be a good actor you have to find a place where you are free, but it’s very unusual to be absolutely free in the way that he was in this movie It was inspiring working with him.”

I totally think he should be given an award!!  He was a GREAT actor.  I will probably have more of an opinion after I see the movie though!

Kirsten Dunst is in REHAB!  Dunst is currently in the same place Eva Mendes is getting help, at Cirque Lodge in Utah.  Star Magazine is reporting that Dunst suffers from some sort of substance abuse problem; however, the exact substance is unknown at this time.  She has apparently had a few breakdowns recently and has decided to seek help.  A source has said:

“She seemed to be intoxicated when she checked in because she was acting really erratic. She was extremely emotional, constantly breaking down in tears. She not in a good place right now, but thankfully, she’s getting the help she needs.“

Again…this is what I said…everyone in Hollywood is seeking treatment due to the recent death of Heath Ledger.  I doubt this will be the last of the rehab trends you will see.  I predict there will be more celebrities entering rehab facilities within the next few months!!

Eva Mendes is in REHAB!  Apparently, after Heath Ledger died, it got a lot of celebrities thinking.  Eva is battling a substance abuse problem; however, it is not known at this time what substance exactly she is battling.  Eva has been super busy with her film career for the past year, and she has taken some time off to address her problems.

Eva Mendes, 33, has checked herself into the Cirque Lodge rehabilitation center in Utah.  That is where Lindsay Lohan sought treatment for her substance abuse problems last summer.  Hopefully, Eva can get the treatment she needs.

I think it’s great she is seeking treatment.  Eva is so beautiful and such a great talent.  It would be awful if a substance took over her life and ruined her career.  After Heath’s death, I think a lot of celebrities realized they didn’t want to end up like that.  So, I think you will see a lot more celebrities entering rehab.  We wish Eva all the best!

Heath Ledger’s family has decided to share their mourning with the world. Heath’s parents and sister’s wrote tributes to the actor in Friday’s edition of the West Australian newspaper.

What they had to say was extremely touching and sad. Heath’s family wrote the following:
Heath’s father, Kim, wrote:
“‘Heatho,’ ‘Beef,’ . . . my beautiful boy, so loving, so talented, so independent, so caring, so young . . . no more chess games mate . . . this is it, couldn’t beat you anyway!

My body aches for the sound of your voice, our chats, our laughs and our life and times together.”

Your truly varied artistic skills, insatiable desire to improve and eclectic abilities set you apart from any other person on the planet . . . it had only just started for you … and for us to further enjoy. We were one, in soul and commitment. Just . . . Father and Son. I will love you forever, Dad.”

Heath’s mother, Sally, wrote:
“Our darling boy, special in so many ways to all of us. You knew you were so loved. You lived life with courage and daring and we are so grateful for the wonderful times we shared. We will be there for Matilda. Your loving Mamma, Rog and Ash.”

Heath’s older sister, Katie, wrote:
“I can hardly breathe when I try to write this. We were the ultimate in soul mates. I feel both my heart and life have been torn apart. I loved our special talks, our daily chats from where ever you were in the world.

I especially loved all the precious time we spent together. We were so fortunate to have you as long as we did. You were so many things to so many people, but to me you were just my little brother.

There will never, ever be another “Heath” and I think that in itself is the greatest tragedy.

I will continue to talk with you everyday and love you just as if you were here. You will never leave my thoughts “Roast”, ever.”

Heath’s younger sister, Olivia, wrote:
“You’re my idol, my hero, but most importantly, my loving big brother. I’ll treasure every moment we spent together. I love you Heath, I miss you and pray every night you’re safe.”

Heath’s entire family wrote:
“How do we describe our sudden and tragic loss? … You were the most amazing individual “old soul” in a young man’s body.

Heath Ledger passed away and already people are coming out of the woodwork to speak inappropriately about his death.  John Gibson, talk show host from Fox News, played a clip of Jake Gyllenhaal saying, “I wish I knew how to quit you” from the movie “Brokeback Moutain.”  Gyllenhaal’s character says that to Ledger’s character, and I guess John Gibson thought it would be ever so clever to play the clip and then respond with the shitty remark, “Well he found out how to quit you.”

John Gibson also called Heath Ledger a “weirdo” and accused him of having a “serious drug problem.”  However, Gibson had never met the 28 year old star!  Gibson went on to say that it was a “terrible thing” that he died.  OH COME ON!  He was basically obsessed with the topic of his death and being such an asshole about it!

I believe John Gibson should be FIRED!!!  You should never speak of the death of someone in such a fashion!  Heath Ledger was a son, a father, a friend, and many things to many people!!  How can Mr. Gibson get away with saying such horrible things about this beloved person?  It’s not right!  Heath has a family out there who loves him, and it is bullshit if this situation is not rectified!  John Gibson, a.k.a. the ugliest man on earth, should really apologize for saying the things that he did.  I mean…damn…Don Imus was fired for the shit he said!  And dumbass John Gibson probably searched for that voice clip from Gyllenhaal all day just to make fun of Heath!  It’s so sad when people that damn old need a lesson in maturity!

Naomi Watts, Heath Ledger’s ex-girlfriend, has pulled out of all her engagements at this year’s Sundance Film Festival due to Heath’s sudden death.  Watts was in Park City promoting her new movie ‘Funny Games,‘ but the mourning actress has now canceled all interviews, obligations, and appearances.

Heath and Naomi dated from 2002 to 2004.  However, after the split, they remained close friends.  An official statement has yet to be released from Naomi’s camp regarding Heath’s death; however, our thoughts and prayers are with her.

Heath Ledger (R.I.P.) was rumored to be dating Gemma Ward.  Ward, 21, is a beautiful Australian model, who was first spotted with Ledger in his hometown of Perth, Australia on December 20th.  The couple were extremely new and were rumored to have spent Christmas together.  Gemma Ward’s whereabouts are unknown at this time.  Updates will follow…

Heath Ledger’s death came as a shock to us all, but Michelle Williams is taking it extremely hard. TMZ is reporting that Michelle Williams is “devastated” by the loss of her former fiance. Apparently, “words cannot describe” the pain she is in. Heath Ledger is the father of Michelle’s child, Matilda Rose.

TMZ is reporting that Michelle Williams is on a plane right now to New York. This is such a sad story. There will be more updates to come…

Exclusive: TMZ is reporting that Heath Ledger was sick with pneumonia when he passed away today. His body was also just taken out of his apartment building an hour ago in a black body bag.

Heath’s family is saying he DID NOT commit suicide. This was an accidental death and that he was sick with pneumonia.

Heath Ledger,28, has died in NY today at 3:35pm.   Heath was found dead face down in his bedroom of his apartment in Soho by his housekeeper.  There were prescription pills found near his body (they are believed to be sleeping pills).

Apparently Ledger had a massage appointment and when the masseuse arrived at his house, the housekeeper let the masseuse in.  The housekeeper went to tell Ledger about the appointment, but Ledger didn’t open his bedroom door.  The housekeeper found Ledger unconscious and called 911.

The paramedics attempted CPR on Ledger; however, he was already in cardiac arrest.  He was pronouced dead at the scene.

Heath had a two year old daugther, Matilda, with Michelle Williams.  Michelle and Heath met on the set of ‘Brokeback Mountain’.  Michelle and Heath separate in 2007, and Heath was said to be dating Gemma Ward.  Heath can be seen in the upcoming Batman film, “The Dark Knight.”

This is truly a sad day.  The death is rumored to be an accident.  Heath had a history with substance abuse, but he was supposed to have been clean for some time.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, Michelle Williams, and his daughter.  Heath was an amazing actor.  He died too young.  R.I.P. Heath Ledger.
