It has been six months today since Brad Renfro passed away. His untimely death is still extremely painful for his family, friends, and fans.
Renfro passed away on January 15th, 2008 in his Los Angeles apartment. On February 8th, 2008, the Coroner’s office ruled Renfro’s death as an accident. His death was attributed to acute heroin/morphine intoxication. Brad was only 25 years old when he passed. It is so unfortunate that such a talented individual was taken away at such a young age.
Since today is the 6 month anniversary of his death, I would like to pay tribute to a part of his life that not many people know about. The musician, Brad Renfro. Brad actually had a band called Frodad. Brad was not only a gifted actor, but he was an amazing vocalist, guitar player, and song writer. His band had recorded an album called “Thriving to Flourish”, and hopefully they will be releasing it as a tribute to the great Brad Renfro.
The band name, FRODAD, was actually a name Brad came up with. Frodad was a nickname Brads father had and was carried on to Brad as a child (using the ‘fro’ as in ‘Renfro‘). Brads band has a pretty cool MySpace page…you should check it out and listen to some of the songs!
Our thoughts and prayers are with Brad Renfro’s family, friends, and fans. His memory and talent will never been forgotten.
R.I.P. Brad Renfro

During last nights Oscars, Brad Renfro was left out of the “In Memoriam” montage. The montage included 98 movie actors, directors, executives, designers, and agents who have passed. However, I guess they couldn’t squeeze in Brad!
Was Brad Renfro not good enough?! I mean come on!!! Brad was a GREAT actor!! Renfro starred in “The Client” and “Apt Pupil“. The academy issued the following statement to TMZ:
“It is simply not possible to include everyone in that segment.“
Are you kidding me?!?! To add one more damn person to the 98!?!?! Ok…somebody call BULLSHIT really quick!!!
Well…We acknowledge you, Brad Renfro! May you R.I.P.

Brad Renfro, 25, passed away on January 17th, 2008 and was laid to rest yesterday, January 21st, 2008 in Brad’s hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. Over 600 people attended the funeral service. The cause of death is still unknown and the results of Renfro’s autopsy will not be released for another six weeks.
Renfro had past drug problems, but sources have said they don’t believe this is what caused his death. I guess we will find out in six weeks.
Furthermore, just in the past week it was discovered the Brad had a secret son. Renfro’s secret son is rumored to live in Japan with his mother. Neither the mother nor the son have been identified, and they have no wish to be either. All we know at this time is that Brad got to see his son before he passed. Kim, Brad Renfro’s step-mother, told TMZ, “We did expect this level of media attention because people didn’t know he had a son. But we’re very thankful Brad got to see his son before he died.”

Brad Renfro is dead. The 25-year-old actor was found dead this morning in his Los Angeles home. Renfro was known to have had a history of drug abuse; however, the cause of his death has yet to be determined. Sources told TMZ that Renfro had been working very hard to stay off drugs.
Renfro, who starred in “Apt Pupil” and “The Client,” just finished a film with Billy Bob Thornton and Winona Ryder. The movie, “The Informers,” had just finished.
The former child star seemed to have had a serious issues with drugs. Perhaps that is what Renfro died from. Nevertheless, I am shocked he has passed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. He was way too young to die. R.I.P. Brad Renfro.
