Ms. Royale’s Book Review: Celebutantes (written by Amanda Goldberg and Ruthanna Khalighi Hopper).

The book, Celebutantes, is about a 26 year old woman named Lola Santisi, who comes from a Hollywood family. Her father is a director and has no time to notice her, her mother is a kooky socialite, and her brother, who is half way normal, is in the industry as well. Lola suffers from Actorholism (a fatal addiction to dating hot actors) and CDD (Career Deficit Disorder). She tries to figure out her love life and career path with the help of some really colorful friends, Cricket and Kate. They have crazy lives of their own!! Lola attempts to be as down to earth as she can be for someone born into such a famous family. Lola struggles with having to deal with the uptight, wacky, and selfish actors and actresses in her life, yet remains somewhat grounded. As she decides on a career path for herself, dressing actresses for the Oscars, she begins to find herself. However, she becomes super stressed out as the Oscars near.

I absolutely LOVED this book!!! It’s got fashion, celebrities, and everything about the Hollywood lifestyle!! It’s so much fun to read. It really pokes fun at celebrities but it also gives them some depth. I think it’s a must read! I couldn’t put the book down…I just had to know what was going to happen to Lola! The book is smart, fun, and full of outrageous cliff-hangers. You won’t be able to put the book down. You MUST go get this book TODAY!! You will LOVE IT!! I promise! It is simply a fabulous book about the crazy celebrity lifestyle!

Special Thanks to Dotspotter for hooking us up with the book!! We appreciate it!! Thanks!
