Reese Witherspoon children

Reese Witherspoon just came out with a movie called  Four Christmases.  It wasn’t that great, but since everyone loves Reese, it was like the number 1 movie!  While Reese was out promoting the movie, she was asked about her own Christmas with her daughter, Ava, and son, Deacon.  You would think the highest paid actres in Hollywood would spoil her children with thousands of presents, but she actually goes about things quite differently.  Reese is determined to keep her children down to earth by not spoiling them with all the gifts they want. 

When Reese was asked about Christmas presents, Reese said:

“I am a little strict about that kind of stuff.  I think kids do best when they only have a couple of things that they really enjoy. I try and stay away from the gluttony of things.”

Reese will not be scattering a plethora of gifts for her children.

“They don’t appreciate it as much. When they only get one or two things they really like it.” 

I think Reese is pretty damn smart.  Children who get spoiled with everything and expect all of the presents on their Christmas list turn out awful.  Most of them grow up to be drug addicts or have issues.  Ok…so maybe they can end up fine, but I would like to think it isn’t the best idea to spoil your children rotten.  Children need to appreciate things more.
